Mary "Kate" McIntosh may have been on the ship that brought Hugh Rose & family to America. She is said to have passed her last years at Claverack, NY, perhaps among friends from the old days. Her birthdate is not known, but she was 45 or more in 1800.

On Jan. 1, 1821, Hugh Rose & wife Mary conveyed 200 acres of land in the Town of Stanford to Daniel McIntosh. (Delaware Co., NY, Deed Bk. E-500.) Daniel may have been Mary's brother or nephew. (Of course, there is a possibility that Mary was previously married to a Mr. McIntosh, and that Daniel was her son.)

She may have been the elderly woman, age 70-80, who lived with Robert and Catherine Hume in 1830.
