Investigates whether Mary married Samuel or Barnabas Wines, each case reported by several sources. Both Barnabas and Samuel had wives named Mary. The official records only contain a portion of the will of Thomas Mapes, but a transcription from 1935 names "my daughter Mary, the wife of Samuel [illegible]". The will of William Purrier, dated 13 Dec 1671, mentions "my Grandchilde Mary Windes" and daughter Sarah Mapes. The mother Sarah (Purrier) Mapes was born 1630 (age 5 on passenger list) and could not have had a child Mary born in 1638 to match Barnabas' wife (who d. 13 Jun 1727 aged 89).
