In Verona, N. Y., on the 23d of October, of inflammation of the lungs, Mrs. Mary Williams, widow of Ray Williams, aged 68 years.
Sister Williams made a profession of religion in early life, and united with a first-day Baptist Church. Some years after, she embraced the Sabbath of the Lord, and united with the First Seventh-day Baptist Church in Verona, soon after its organization, of which she remained a member, and an example of piety, until called to join the church above. During her last distressing illness, which continued about a week, she manifested calm resignation to the will of God. She has left a number of children, and a large circle of relatives, to mourn her loss. In her death the Church is bereaved of one of its brightest ornaments.
