Mary Jane Rain, 82, of Jeannette, passed away Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at her residence. She was born March 3, 1926, in Manor, a daughter of the late William and Irene Loughner Kohl. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Ward Rain Jr., in 1999; and two sons, Arthur W. Rain III and Richard A. Rain. She is survived by a son, Dennis Rain and companion, Peg Valesky, of Jeannette; two grandsons, Michael Rain and wife, Daina, of Youngwood, and Mark Rain, of Jeannette; two great-grandsons, Steven and Jacob Rain; a great-granddaughter, Alexis Rain; a sister, Charlotte Houser and husband, Fred, of Greensburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the JOHN V. GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 228 North 2nd St., Jeannette. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Dale W. Roddy, officiating. Interment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township.
