KIMBALL, Mary, w. Moses, jr., [died] Aug. 22, 1733.
- ↑ There is no birth record. The marriage in 1729 suggests she is one of the younger children, so based on known births of others, sometime after Benjamin in 1704 seems likely. But qualitatively, based on the order named in various wills, the only conclusion that can be drawn with confidence is that she is the youngest surviving daughter, younger than Anna, and could be born in the gap from 1695 to 1700 also.
- ↑ Cutter, Vol. 3, p. 1189, says Mary m. Thomas Waite (and several AFNs, and probably other sources). This is obviously false from her father's will in 1731 which names her as Mary Kimball, and the agreement of heirs of her uncle in 1732 which explicitly names her as the wife of Moses Kimball. It appears to be the result of a sloppy reading of John Edwards' probate which mentions Thomas Waite and his wife Mary, without recognizing that Mary Waite is explicitly identified in her receipt as a sister of John Edwards (i.e., Mary (Edwards) Waite), and not as a child of a sister (i.e., the Kimballs are children of Lucy (Edwards) Kimball). Thomas Waite's wife was not this Mary Kimball, who, as indicated, is elsewhere identified as the wife of Moses Kimball.
