Mary Lois Kenan married Oliver Loving on 17 March 1884 at Seymour, Texas. After her marriage, Mary Lois lived on the Loving Ranch at Lost Valley in Jack County, Texas. The couple lived west of the town of Jermyn. To this union four children were born: James William Loving, Mary Ellen Loving, Oliver Loving, Jr., Lois Kenan Loving.

The death of Mrs. Oliver Loving spread a dark gloom over Graham, Texas. She was getting along so well that every one felt assured of her speedy recovery and was rejoicing when the sad news came of a sudden change for the worse and a few moments later the report of her death. Possessing an affectionate and wininng disposition, her circle of friends was very large and the esteem in which she was held by the people of Graham was attested in a degree by the funeral procession last Sunday everning, which was one of the largest ever seen in Graham.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, and the funeral services were conducted by Rev. S.J. McMurrray, at the family home Sunday evening and at the grave at Oak Grove cemetery.

Survived by her husband; four children, her sister-in-law - Mrs. George Spillers of Jacksboro and sister - Mrs. A.L. Board of Seymour, accompanied by their husbands, arrived Saturday in response to a message informing them of the death and were here for the funeral. Mr. Loving's mother, Mrs. J.C. Loving of Fort Worth, also arrived in time for the funeral.
