    "I Ebenezer Dows of Billerica … yeoman in Consideration of three hundred pounds … paid me ["by" omitted] Benjamin Dows junr. of Billerica Husbandman … convey unto him … my homestead lying in Billerica … excepting the east End of my dwelling House I reserve during my life and the life of my wife and for my daughter Susannah to make it her home during her unmarried State … In Witness I the said Ebenezer Dows with Mary my wife … have set our hands and seals this nineteenth day of October … one Thousand seven hundred and seventy eight.
