AYD-HOFFMAN, Edward M. Ayd, son of Dr. Joseph Ayd, druggist at North avenue and Ashburton street, Walbrook, and his bride, who was Miss M. Ida Hoffman, of Catonsville, who were married on October 8, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, have returned home after spending their honeymoon at Atlantic City. The Rev. Joseph J. Ayd, of St. Ignatius Church, cousin of the groom, occupied a seat in the sanctuary during the ceremony. Miss Martha Hoffman, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid, while Bernard Rhodes acted as best man. The couple kept their marriage secret and many friends did not learn of it until Mr. and Mrs. Ayd returned. Mr. Ayd served in the artillery at Fort Washington for several months and was prepared to go overseas when the armistice was signed. Mr. and Mrs. Ayd are living at the home of the groom.
