    Mary V. Hatfield

    Mary V. Hatfield, 86, of Novinger passed away Wednesday morning (February 19, 1992) at the Twin Pines Adult Care Center in Kirkville.

    Born January 30, 1906 in Martinstown, she is the daughter of Finis and Ethna (Brown) Hodges. On November 22, 1924 at Kirksville, she married Rollie Dow Hatfield, who preceded her in death.

    Also preceding her in death were one sister, Thelma Hodges, four brothers, Christy Hodges, Fern Hodges, Harold Hodges and Herschel Hodges.

    She is survived by three daughters, Lorene Ledford of Glenwood, Norma J. Bibee of Independence and Neta Wellman of Novinger; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Anna Ralston of Centerville, Iowa, and Marie Smith of Unionville.

    She was a lifelong resident of Putnam County, where she attended rural schools.

    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday morning (February 22, 1992) at the Husted-Ingersoll Funeral Home in Unionville. Interment was in the Lone Pine Cemetery north of Martinstown.
