    "John C. Wheeler, farmer, sec. 15, Webster tp.; is a native of New Hampshire, and born there in 1824. His parents were Tillotson and Polly (Campbell) Wheeler, who immigrated to this county in 1830, where the former died in 1862. His mother is still living at the advanced age of 92. Mr. W. came to this county with his parents, and in 1849 was married to Mary, daugther of William and Hannah Harrison, both natives of England, where Mary was born in 1830. This union has been blessed with 5 children - Stearns T., Jean, Oral, Frank and Sarah. Mr. Wheeler has held several tp. offices, and in politics is a Republican. He owns 270 acres of excellent farm land, valued at $65 per acre."
