His father, Thomas, came to Saline county at an early day, and married Miss Mary Hall. They had eight children, five now living, three boys and two girls: John B., Edward, Glenn H., Martha Lewis, and Cornelia. Thomas died in 1873, and was buried at Rock Creek. His wife died in 1877, and was buried in the same place.
