  3. Source:General Society of Mayflower Descendants. Mayflower Families through Five Generations, Vol. 8 (Degory Priest), p. 97, says Mary m. 1770 Henry Hooker. Such a marriage is recorded in Dudley. Source:Hutchins, Jack Randolph. Genealogy of Thomas Hutchins of Salem, Massachusetts, with a History of Allied Families, p. 55, says Thomas Hutchins m. Mary Edmunds as his first wife. There is no marriage record found and this proposed union is apparently based on the Dudley VR, p. 72 which says "HUTCHENS, Perley, s. Thomas Jr. and Mary Edmunds, Sept. 5, 1767". No early Dudley records appear online to verify the original wording, but from this abstracted version, using the wife's maiden name, it appears Thomas Hutchins and Mary Edmunds were not married.
