Parentage Conflict
Some researchers claim that Mary, wife of Abraham Vandal was a daughter of James Dillon and his wife Sarah Monks, but since James and Sarah Dillon were not married until 1774, and records show that Mary was born in the preceding decade, this rules James and Sarah Dillon out as her parents. Some researchers claim that Mary was likely a Davis, based upon letters written to her sister Hannah (Davis?) Craig. Additional research and sources are needed to conclusively prove her parentage.

James Vandle lives in Greenbrier County and has fore children, Charity McClung Lives in Kyntucky State Barrens of Greenriver, Warren County. Hannah Westlake Lives in ohio State. - Please review Mary Vandal's letters to her sister Hannah Craig on the internet. Hannah Craig's descendants insist that her maiden name is Davis. I have not found any real proof that Mary Vandal's maiden name is Dillon or that Mary is the daughter of James Dillon. More research is needed to discover the maiden name of Mary Vandal.
