  3. ↑ Ellery Bicknell Crane, in the Crane Genealogy (1:60), states that this Mary Crane married Samuel Hackitt/Hackett of Taunton, Mass. However, Samuel Hackett's wife Mary is identified in two journal articles as the daughter of Henry and Tabitha (Kingsley or Kinsley) Crane, born 27 November 1666 at Milton, Mass. See "Henry Crane of Dorchester, Mass., and Some of His Descendants" in The New England Historical and Genealogical Register, 46:217 [1892]; and "Some Descendants of Jabez Hackett of Lynn and Taunton, MA First Generation in America" in The Essex Genealogist, 18:79 [1998].
