Mary Braybrook’s origins have yet to be established. The age given when she died implies that she was born around 1762. Her first confirmed sighting is on 12th October 1790, when she married Blundell Kilsby Stanion at Oundle in Northamptonshire. One of the witnesses to their marriage was a Sarah Braybrook, who was presumably a relative of Mary’s.

Mary and Blundell went on to have seven children baptised at Oundle between 1791 and 1803.

Mary was buried at Oundle on 13th December 1835. She was said to be 73 years old, and she and Blundell had been married for 45 years. Blundell survived her by less than a year.
