Mary Ann Bowman is listed in an Ancestry Member Tree as a daughter of John Bowman of Shenandoah County, Virginia. This appears to be in error. There is a Court case in Shendandoah County records ("Bowman vs. Bowman") which lists the children of John and his wife Barbara, and Mary Ann is NOT listed as one of their three children. Additional research is needed to determine her parentage.
