- ↑ Mary is mentioned last in her father's will, presumably the youngest. Benanuel's granddaughter says "The youngest [daughter] married George Lownes, in Springfield, Chester County" (e.g., see Source:Cope, Gilbert. Dunwoody and Hood Families, p. 148). But the birthdate of 20 May 1679, may not be correct. On the same page (p. 110) of the Charlestown VRS that has the birth record ("Marie Bowers, dau. of Bananuell & Elizabeth Bowers, b. May 20, 1679") one also finds a death record for her ("Marie Bowers Junior, dau. of Bananuell & Elizabeth Bowers, d. Dec. 20, 1679".) Returning to the comments of the granddaughter: "Benanuel Bowers and his wife had twelve children, some of whom died in infancy..." but only nine are found in the records.
