OBITUARY Mary L. Scheiber, 88, formerly of 429 Poplar St., died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday (Dec. 5, 1999) at the Community Care Center. Mrs. Scheiber was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Altar Rosary Society and the Third Order of St. Francis. She was born May 27, 1911, in Huntington to John D. and Alline Sordelet Bickel. She married Bernard P. Scheiber May 19, 1934, at St. Mary Catholic Church. Her husband died Feb. 17, 1943. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Belding, Huntington; two sons, Larry B. Scheiber, Huntington, and Tim J. Scheiber Sr., Lexington, KY; 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Mary Beth McClure and Judy Campbell; four brothers, Norbert Bickel, Jack Bickel, Paul Bickel and Judd Bickel; and five sisters, Violet Querry Edwards, Evelyn Bickel, Elizabeth Sarrazine, Marguerite Bickel and Virginia Shaw. Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, with Rosary at 6 p.m. at the Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church, 903 N. Jefferson St., with Father Gary Sigler officiating. burial will be at Mr. Calvary Cemetery. Preferred memorials are to St. Mary Catholic Church.
