    Reed, Mr. Marvin E., Norton Shores

    Mr. Marvin Edgar Reed, 82, died Sunday, June 12, 1994, at his home. He was born May 27, 1912, the son of Ruby Roy Robert Reed and Hazel Segar Reed, and was a lifelong resident of Muskegon. He had been plant engineer for Norge for 29 years, had been employed by Brunswick for several years, and retired from Nugent Sand after 11 years with the company. He married the former Beatrice I. Ludlam on Sept. 1, 1934 in Muskegon. Survivors includ his wife, Bernice; 2 daughters: Jeanne Ann Funnell, and close friend, Arnie Kelm of Muskegon; Janette Kay and Ronald Posthumus of Fruitport; 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and an uncle, Dale Reed of CA. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 2PM at Norton Cemetery with The Rev. Jack C. Stubbs of Lake Harbor United Methodist Church, officiating. Visitation: today, 6-9 PM at Sytsema Funeral Home, 737 Apple Avenue. Suggested memorial: Hospice of Muskegon County.
