    Martin Wellman Jr.
    CHICAGO - Martin Wellman Jr., 54, of 521 W. Roscoe St., a native and former resident of New Castle, died early Friday in the hospital in Chicago after a brief illness.
    He was born in New Castle on Feb. 16, 1921 to Martin and Suzanna Hoprich Wellman Sr. He was employed as a maintainance engineer in Chicago.
    Mr. Wellman was an Army veteran of World War II.
    He is survived by two sons, Thomas of Chicago and Gary of Sharon, Pa.; two daughters Pamela of Sharon and Susan of New Castle; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Wellman Sr., of Chicago; two brothers, Richard and David, both of Chicago; four sisters, Mrs. Elsie Paglialong and Mrs. Joseph (Irene) Fava, both of Chicago, Mrs. Clara Salesbury of Maryland, and Mrs. Michael (Minnie) Walczak of New Castle, and two grandchildren.
    Funeral arrangements are presently incomplete but services and burial will be held in Chicago.
