    "Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Newcomer - Diffenderfer Funeral Home for Martin Dudley Titus, 91, Decatur, Ill. formerly of 201 Fillmore. He died Sunday, Dec. 16, at a Decatur, Ill. hospital. Mr. Titus was a plumbing contractor in Topeka for 20 years. He was born April 29, 1893, at Auburn, the son of Samuel T. and Carrie E. Johnson Titus. He served in the Army during World War I. He moved to Decatur, Ill., from Topeka in 1979. He was a member of First Lutheran Church and Phillip Billard Post No. 1650 of Veterans of Foreign Wars, a life member of Orient Lodge No. 51, AF&AM, and a 50-year member of Topeka Council No. 5, Royal Arch Masons. He was married to Wahneta Bonine in 1922, at Albuquerque, N.M. She died in 1967. Survivors include a son, M. Ellsworth Titus, Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Blackburn, Decatur, Ill.; two sisters, Nell Titus and Mrs. Mrs. J. Rae Johnson, both of Topeka; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Titus will lie in state after 8 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home where relatives and friends will meet from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday."
