Personal History

Marthena's parents were Henry S. and Fannie (HASTINGS) Crump. Her step-father was Charles Crosby.

In 1900, Marthena was living with her grandmother, Martha Hastings, in Bridgeport, Fairfield County, Connecticut. Others residing with Martha were Frank B. Hastings, Florence A. Hastings, Fannie Crump, Frank Crump, and a servant, Victoria Leonard.

According to the 1910 census, Marthena was living with her step-father and mother in Bridgeport, Fairfield County, Connecticut. Others included Charles Crosby (age 6), Frank H. Crump (age 14), and a servant, Annie Wallace.
