Keokuk, Ia., Feb. 8 -- Mrs. Martha E. Flowers, 90, died last night at 8:10 o'clock in her home, 722 Concert street, after two weeks' illness. Mrs. Flowers was born October 26, 1848, in Clark county, Missouri, the daughter of John and Cynthia Ann Wade.
She was married to William H. Flowers on January 16, 1873. He died in 1897.
Surviving are: six children: Mrs. R. G. Hawkins of Wappello; O. M. Flowers of Granger, Missouri; Allen Flowers of Wayland, Missouri; Mrs. Mabel Thrasher of Fort Collins, Colorado; Mrs. C. D. Hicks of Des Moines; and R. H. Flowers of Keokuk. Three children preceded their mother in death.
Mrs. Flowers came here in 1916. She was a member of the Methodist Protestant church.
