↑ Malden records show John Sweetser m. 16 Nov 1738 Elizabeth Stevens. If this is the same John Sweetser, then Martha died by this date. Source:Sweetser, Philip Starr. Seth Sweetser and His Descendants, p. 55, says Martha d. 14 May 1736. No such record has been located. One might presume this occurred in North Yarmouth, ME, where this source claims John and Martha joined the church in 1733. More research is needed. Clearly Martha died before 1752 when her father's will names two of her daughters, but not her.
