There appears to much confusion over her parentage. BIRTH: Martha GIVEN. Some descendants say she was Martha PAXTON. The MATHESON records could indicate she was a MATHESON b. 1720. Antrim, Ireland. Marriage to Matthew ROBERTSON: Abt. 1738 in Augusta Co., VA, or more probably PA.as her husband was in PA in 1746 when John Moffett deed Robertson 396 acres in Beverly Manor. Death: Aft. 1786. Augusta Co., VA.

Research needed: If Matthew and Martha married in PA as the Moffett deed would suggest then it is unlikely that she was a Givens. If they married in VA then the assertion would be more likely. I have looked into the Moffett claim and the Paxton claim but can't find any source material that explicitly ties here to either family though her husband was associated with both families.
