Martha Jane Kaldenberg, 90, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Valley View Village in Des Moines, Iowa. Services will be held at Union Cemetery Albia, Iowa. Martha was born July 2, 1927, in Albia, IA, to Ray and Alta (Smith) Combs. She married Gail Kaldenberg at the Little Brown Church in 1947. She spent most of her life as a homemaker, but also worked at DMPS, Look Magazine, Bankers Trust, and Younkers. Martha loved the slots at Prairie Meadows, butterflies, and spending time with her family. Martha is survived by her son, Richard (Nancy) Kaldenberg of Des Moines, Iowa; grandchildren, Mandi (Randy) O’Donnell of Altoona, Iowa, Heidi (Devin) Connett of Des Moines, Iowa; and four great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Steven Kaldenberg; her parents; and her five siblings.
