Records Conflict

CONFLICT: the Marriage Certificate and Certificate of Death contain two completely different sets of parents for Martha Armstrong. The Certificate of Death appears to suggest that she possibly was a child born out of wedlock from Katie Armstrong [mother] and Joe Thacker [father], but the 1910 & 1920 Census records show her listed with her mother Nancy L [Lewis] Armstrong, then a widow, in Louisa County, Virginia, which agrees with her Marriage Certificate. Additional research needed.
