    Lafayette M. Sharp was born 30 Apr 1839. He served with the 47th AL Infantry, Co. F and D, during the Civil War. His second wife was Mattie Jane Ware, born 09 Dec 1842 in Lincoln Co., GA, died 12 Sep 1929. He died 10 Feb 1896. They were both buried at Oak Hill Cemetery.
