Marie D. Lorson, 91, Hope, died Saturday, February 28, 2004. Mrs. Lorson was born December 14, 1912, at Hope. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph in 1978; and an infant son, Robert. Survivors include three sons, Leo of Garland, Texas, Steve of Salina and Bill of rural Hope; three daughters, Dolores A. Bell of Beloit, Marilyn Schmidt of Topeka and Joyce Wagner of Brookville; a bother John Pientka of Abilene; four sisters, Loretta Donnelly of Salina, Cece Burt of Solomon, Bernice Dion of Littleton, Colorado, and Frances Pientka of Abilene; 23 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Columba Catholic Church, Elmo. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Elmo. A parish rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Carlson-Becker Funeral Home, 106 N. Second, Hope 67451. Memorials may be made to St. Columbia's Altar Society or Alzheimer's Society.
