    "580. Maria Ward,5 born December 12, 1764, in Shrewsbury, Mass., died October 6, 1833. She was first engaged to Joseph Henshaw of Middletown, Conn., but before the wedding date arrived he was lost in a shipwreck off Guadaloupe. Between two and three years later, January 14, 1790, in Middletown, she married Dr. Ebenezer Tracy, born November 11, 1762, in Norwich, Conn., son of Samuel and Sibyl (Lathrop) Tracy, and great-great-grandson of Thomas Tracy who arrived in Salem, Mass., in 1636, himself the son of Sir Paul Tracy, Baronet, Stoneway, Gloucester County, England."
