Mari Wang Torgerson born in Ringebu, Norway came with her parents to Beloit, Wisconsin when two years old. In 1876 married Christian Torgerson. In 1878 moved to Baxter. Survived by husband, son, T.C. Torgerson and two daughters, Marie at home and Mrs. Richard Trotter. Relatives from out of town were a sister Karen Myhre and daughter Marie of Fosston and Peter Stavne and Ole Stravne and family of Sacred Heart.
