    Discrepancy in info on birth date and local for Margaret. Inclined to believe above, however, alternative info is: born 1796 in Lincoln County, GA to dau of James Wilson & Sarah Ogilvie (Wilsons were from Mecklenburg Cnty,NC).

    Margaret and John had eight children (all born in TN). In 1835 they moved to Tippah Cnty,MS but there ran into a land dispute and by 1837 had arrived in Polk Cnty,MO. They helped found the town of Pleasant Hope,MO. John was murdered by bushwackers in 1863 and Margaret died in 1875. They are buried in Pleasant Hope Cemetery
