Estate of Thomas Pier of Great Barrington: Will dated Jan 28, 1777. Probated Jan 7, 1779. To son Thomas Pier (a double portion, so probably eldest son); son Oliver; son Ethan; children of daughter Rhoda, dec'd "who was the wife of Benjamin Trimen"; daughter Ruth Church; grandson John Roberts; granddaughter Lucy Carey; to grandsons and Asa Eddy grandson to my wife, "land iin the eastern country vis Pemaquid at New Harbor and Misuncus," to be equally divided among them except John and Aaron Roberts. Appoints son Thomas as sole executor. Witnesses were Truman Wheeler, James Latham and Midian Olds. The widow was Anne Pier.
