Margaret Jane Jones, 84, Marion, former Middleport resident, died early today at Marion General Hospital, Marion.

Mrs. Jones was born April 22, 1897 in Meigs County, the daughter of the late Frank and Lena Huggins McElhinny. Her husband, Homer C. Jones preceded her in death in 1972. She was also preceded in death by one daughter and a brother.

She was a member of the Middleport Church of Christ.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Charles Lucas, Caledonia; a granddaughter, Marjorie Thompson, Edison; a grandson, Charles R. Lucas, Caledonia; five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Rawlings-Coats-Blower Funeral Home with Mr. Ron Moyer officiating. Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery at Cheshire. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
