1840 census of Green Twp, Wayne Co., Indiana, pg. 281 Margaret Wadman, 10-15, 1 male 15-20, 1 female 15-20, 1 female 40-50 Letter from Riley J. Salisbury of Economy, Indiana (ca 1890?) in the Turner Collection of Dover, DE Hall of Records. Letter was written to Miss Saulsbury of Ridgely, MD Grandfather was John Saulsbury who married Margaret Manship, he had brothers, Olive & Matthew in DE. John died in the winter of 1812 or spring of 1813 in camp after being drafted into the War of 1812. He and Margaret had (3?) children when he died; James, Matthew and John (b. 25 Apr. 1813), The last being the father of Riley J. Salisbury. Grandmother then married a man named Wadman and had 4 children. Then in 1828 Grandmother and her 7 children carried to Wayne Co., IN. Grandmother and all of her children all dead. Myself and my son are all that is left to carry the name. References
