Helen & Peg were neighbors on Atwood Lake and Helen remembers Peg with great fondness and recalls her many talents and skills. There seemed to be nothing that Peg could not do & she often enlisted Helen in her projects including quilting, gathering grapevines in the woods to make wreaths, etc. Peg was a weaver and expert seamstress and made beautiful garments. She was tall, lean & elegant. She loved living on Atwood Lake and loved wind surfing. She was the organist at the downtown Luthern church in Dover before moving to Atwood Lake; then she was the organist at the United Methodist Church in Sherrodsville; and she also played the organ at a church in Zoar. Peg taught early childhood education at Buckeye Joint Vocational Center in New Philadelphia, where her husband, Jim, also worked. Both were hired by Helen's husband, Joe Carlisle, Sr., former superintendent of Buckeye. rc
