    Biography

    Margaret Adams was born sometime around 1706, or later, in Connor, County Antrim, Ireland. She came to America with her family who settled around Bedminster, Somerset County, New Jersey. Sometime around 1736 she married Ephraim McDowell in Somerset County. They had four children: Elizabeth, born 1737; Matthew, born 1738; Benjamin, born 1739 and Ephraim, born 1743. Margaret died before August 1790 in Lamington, Somerset County, New Jersey.
