Mardell Huffer, 80, 318 S. Bittersweet, died Saturday in Ball Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Redkey, she later lived in Parker City where she attended school before moving to Muncie. She and her late husband, Forrest Huffer, owned and operated several restaurants in the Muncie area, the most recent being the Triple H Cafe, 1310 E. Memorial.
Surviving in addition to her husband, to whom she would have been married 64 years in February, are two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Jean) Hopper, Winter Park, Fla., and Mrs. Richard (Dorothy) Golliher, Parker City; a sister, Dorothy Wilson, Muncie; two grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Madge Fowler Hall.
Services will be in Meeks Mortuary Chapel at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Entombment will be in Elm Ridge Mausoleum. Calling hours are 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today or prior to services Tuesday.
