Marcus Tullis Cicero Kennedy (a.k.a. Capt. Marcus T.C. Kennedy b. about 1792 d. 1842) and his sister Amelia Sophia Kennedy (she married James Leitch) were the children of Rev. Samuel Kennedy and his wife, Elizabeth. Rev. Samuel Kennedy was born about 1766 and died in 1796. According to some of the Kennedy research information, Samuel's parents were Joseph Kennedy, Jr. & Esther Curran Kennedy. He had two other brothers, Joseph, III, and David Kennedy. All three Kennedy brothers were named in the will of their grandmother, Mary Curran:
