DEATH OF MRS. CLINTON A. RICKER.
Mrs. M. Elizabeth Kicker, wife of Clinton A. Ricker, of 44 Avon Hill street, died Friday, August 30, after a comparatively short illness. Mrs. Ricker was born in this city in 1854, was educated in its public schools, and for several years before her marriage was a teacher in the old Allston school. At the time of her marriage and for many years after she was identified with the Harvard Street M. E. church, of which she was an active member. In 1904 Mr. and Mrs. Ricker moved to Avon Hill street, and since that time she has been a member of the North Congregational church, where she will be missed by her many friends.
Mrs. Ricker is survived by her husband and two daughters, Miss Jane, a teacher in the Medford High school, and Miss Christine, a senior in the Cambridge High and Latin school.
The funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock, at which Rev. Augustus C. Swain officiated, and the Lotus quartet sung. The love and esteem in which Mrs. Ricker was held by her friends were made evident by the large number of floral offerings.
