ERECTED to the memory of MRS. LYDIA LAWRANCE wife of Deacon Jonathan Lawrance who died March 21 1805 in the 90 Year of her age.
Source:Rowe, Howard Morrison. Our Heritage : A Story of Twenty Families, p. 378, indicates she is believed to be Lydia Fletcher, d/o William and Mary, b. Chelmsford 1724. However that misses the age at death by about 10 years. This Lydia is probably the one who married Joseph Adams and d. Chelmsford 1799 in her 76th year (age 75 so born 1724).
There is a Lydia Patch b. Newton in 1714, d/o Isaac and Edith Patch. A Lydia Patch married in Groton in 1736 John Fletcher who died in 1745. This may be the Lydia Fletcher who married Jonathan Lawrance in 1754. But no evidence has been found to tie the birth to the first marriage or the first marriage to the second marriage. The probate of father Isaac Patch in 1762 merely names her as Lydia in the various distributions without any indication of her married name.
