- ↑ The various sources (see also the marriage records) seem to disagree whether Lydia's birth is Lovell, Maine, or Lowell, Mass, probably based on the understanding of the informant. No record of Lydia or her parents seems to be found in Lowell, Mass suggesting Maine is the correct answer where McCrillis is more common. The death record that gives her maiden name as McCullis is most likely the result of misreading a sloppy "r" followed by an "i" as a "u".
