Neither the Waterbury Vital Records nor Jacobus' Families of Ancient New Haven indicate this Lydia Blakeslee's parentage. It could be either Aaron and Esther (Andrews) Blakeslee or John and Lydia (Bradley) Blakeslee, each couple having had a daughter Lydia born in New Haven between 1747 and 1748, neither Lydia having a husband assigned to them in the literature. It could also be neither couple, but rather an otherwise unknown Lydia Blakeslee.
