Luther Lawrence (September 28, 1778 – April 17, 1839) was the Mayor of Lowell, Massachusetts (1838–1839). In 1818, Lawrence purchased 25 shares of the Suffolk Bank, a clearinghouse bank on State Street in Boston.

undated: Lucy Lawrence waives right to administer on estate of Luther Lawrence late of Lowell, requests her son Rufus B. Lawrence be appointed. 7 May 1839: Memorial of Rufus B. Lawrence of Lowell that widow declined administration and he is only son of said deceased and willing. Granted by the judge. Bond given the same date. 12 Aug 1839: Inventory of the Estate of Luther Lawrence late of Lowell Esq Deceased: $68176.24 by W'm Lawrence, Sam Lawrence, Tho's Hopkinson. 16 Mar 1841: Bond of Charles T. Appleton of Lowell as administrator de bonis non on estate of Luther Lawrence late of Lowell Esquire. [from memorial of Charles T.
