Henry JENNINGS; John WILLIAMS and John HARRIS [Hugh Harris son] to have care of son John; Phillip HARRIS and Hugh HARRIS to have care of son Henry; ex: wife; wits: Richard HINDS, John MILLER, Henry JENNINGS.

- The Deposition of Thomas Colly aged 53 years or thereabouts being Exanined and Sworn Saith that about the Beginning of 9ber Last past in Company with RICHARD WILCOCKS and LUKE WILLIAMS at the house of HENRY WILLIAMS he this deponent heard the said WILCOCKS say that if it pleased God that he should dye he would give all that he had to the above said HENRY WILLIAMS and HIS WIFE & further said there stands my chest and I give that and all that I have to him and his wife and further sayth not.

- The Deposition of LUKE WILLIAMS aged 23 years or thereabouts Examined and Sworne Saith That about the Beginning of 9ber Last past being in Company with RICHARD WILCOCKS & THO: COLLY at the house of HENRY WILLIAMS he this deponent heard the said WILCOCKS say that if it pleased God that he should dye he would give all that he had to the above said HENRY WILLIAMS & his wife & further said there stands my chest & I give that all that I have to him & his wife & further Sayeth not.

- Richmond County Court 7th of September 1692 - LUKE WILLIAMS brought his action in this Court against Capt. SAMLL. TRAVERS and Complaines against him in a Plea of Trespass & Ejectmt., for that he being seized as of fee in a certain tract of land cont.eyning Six hundred acres situated in this county & given him by the Last Will &Testament of JOHN WILLIAMS, his deced Father, And by him taken up by Patent bearing date the 18th day of 7br: Ano: 1665; the sd Capt, TRAVERS with force & arms &c. Entery thereon hath made unlawfull cutting down & carrying away diverse Timber trees &c., and stopping the Surveyors Chains in contempt of an Order of this Worshipll. Court &c., & to his damage 10000 lbs. of tobb: The Deft. pleads Not Guilty. And upon a full debate of the matter, the Court finding that the sd Trespass can not be fully judged of untill a part of a certain Patent dated the 22nd day of May Ano: 1650 for Two thousand three hundred & fifty acres of Land granted to Colnll. MOORE FANTLEROY, being Two thousand six hundred acres lying on the North side of Rappa. River on the upper side of a Creek called FARNHAM CREEK be exactly survaied according to the bounds contayned in the sd Patent, the Court have ordered that the sd 2600 acres part of the Patent aforesd, on the 20th day of this Ins( month 7ber: be surveyed according to the bounds of the sd 2600 acres conteyned in the last recited Patent by Capt. WM: MOSELEY & Mr. EDWIN CONWAY in presence of a good and able Jury of the Neighbourhood to be impannelled by the Sheriff of this County or hii Deputie & sworne by Capt. WM. BARBER & Capt. ALEKANDR: SWAN or either of them by name Capt. WILLIAM TAYLOE, ALEXANDR: NEWMAN, WM: COLSTON, WM: FITZHERBERT WM. BROKENBURROW, SAMLL. BAYLY, JNO: PHILLIPS, JNO: OCKLEY, JAMES SAMFORD,. HEN: AUSTIN, WM: SMYTH, upon the Hills, THO: COLLEY, JNO: ALLIWAY, RICHARD KING JNO: INGOE, THO: BRYAN SENR., or any twelve of them and that they make report under their hands & seales in writing of what trespass & damage they shall find (if any) to the next Court to be held for this County And that the Jurors &c. do meet at the house of Capt. SAMLL. TRAVERS at the time aforesd.

LUKE WILLIAMS of Farnham Parish Rich Co planter for 11,625 pounds of tobb sold to JOHN BATTIN of same place planter ... a 146 a. parcell of land in the afsd parish bounded by the said LUKE WILLIAMS & JOHN WEBB ... pt/o 2 devidents patented and taken up by JOHN WILLIAMS late of same co decd, one of the patents dated 18 Mar 1663/4 for 350 a. and the other dated 18 Sep 1665 for 600 a., and by the said JOHN WILLIAMS given in his will to the said LUKE and JOHN his sons and the said JOHN the younger dying without issue his part descended to the said LUKE.
