[Note: this source correctly identifies Lucy, but there is no marriage record found for Lucy to John Spaulding, nor any death record for John Spaulding, nor any explanation how this was known. The distribution of the estate of Capt. John Spaulding (Plainfield Probate, Vol. 5, p. 367, dated 5 Aug 1765) divides the estate between Lucy Johnson widow and Lucy Spaulding daughter. The will of Eleazer Cady (Plainfield probate, Vol. 5, p. 457, dated 10 Dec 1766) names "only Daughter Lucy the Wife of Obediah Johnson of Canterbury".]
