CABLE, WI – Lowell B. Green, age 87, died Wed., Jan. 24, 2001, in Cable. Lowell Beeman Green was born July 31, 1913, in Edgerton, the son of Louis and Lydia (Beeman) Green. He attended school in Albion, and he worked on the family farm for several years. He took a job with the Highway Trailer Company as a sheet metal worker and manufactured semi trailers. He was joined in marriage to Barbara Diedrich on Jan 28, 1956, in Dubuque, IA. He retired in 1965 and moved to Drummond in July of 1972. He moved to Cable in 1977. He was a charter member of the Barnes and Cable Lions Club. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, trapper and loved being in the outdoors and working in his garden and flowerbeds.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; 2 sons: Cal Green of Edgerton, and Dwight (Sue) Green of Milton; 3 daughters: Deborah (John) Trewyn of Knierim, IA, Susan (Larry Metcalf) Green of Hayward, WI, Lori (David) Popelka of Cable; 4 step-sons; James (Shirley) Krueger of Springfield, IL, Dennis Krueger of Edgerton, Donald (Cindy) Krueger of Battle Creek, MI, and Russell (Tara) Krueger of Prairie Du Chein; 3 step-daughters: Pauline (James) Geiger of Drummond, WI, Janice (Tim) Kusick of Mellon, WI, Christine (Neil) Van Demark of Florida; 18 grandchildren; 18 step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 daughters, Sandra Green, Rosemary Glowacki; a grandson, Michael Green; a granddaughter, Catherine Green; 2 brothers, Clinton Green, and Lyle Green; and a sister, Adaline Stillman.
