Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Louise Annen Thompson, 90, who died Friday, Jan. 12, 2001, at a Topeka hospital of complications suffered following a fall in her Topeka apartment.
She was born Aug. 3, 1910, in Topeka, to Louis Nicholas and Ella May Sage Annen.
She graduated from Holy Name Catholic Grade School in 1924 and from Topeka Catholic High School in 1928. She received an Associate of Arts degree from St. Mary College in Leavenworth in 1930. She served as executive secretary for the Kansas Centennial Comm. and later was bookkeeper for Kansas Ports of Entry before she retired in 1972.
She married Robert Dean Thompson, of Berryton, on May 23, 1936. They were charter members of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. He survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Marie Alkire, Mesa, Ariz., and Margaret Murdock, Topeka; and a grandson.
Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Thompson will lie in state after 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a parish prayer service will begin at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
