Louisa Mary Schilling was born in Switzerland and immigrated to the United States in 1869. She lived about a year in Bridgewater, Pennsylvania, and married the Rev. Frank C.C. Kaehler in 1871. The Kaehlers lived in several locations over the years. She and Frank had seven children together. Sadly, Louisa died at the age of 36; her youngest child was less than two years old.
