- in 1843, in CT, when barely 15 years old, she married "William E Brockway", later a notorious counterfeiter (aka "Long Bill Brockway" or "Edward W Spencer")
- in 1846, first son, William, was born ; he died a year later
- in 1848, first and only daughter, Louisa was born
- Abt 1849, her husband was arrested and jailed in Hudson, NY
- in 1850 census, Louisa and daughter were in a boarding house in Hudson, NY
- in 1853, second son, Francis, was born in Manhattan, NY
- Louisa has not been found in any records after this and daughter Louisa was sent to Europe for schooling
- Bef 1857, her husband remarried and began using the name "Edward W Spencer"
Clues
- a biography for her husband, William E Brockway [1], states that she was "a cousin of the landscape architect, Frederick Law Olmsted" - I haven't investigated this claim yet. --cos1776 21:43, 20 June 2022 (UTC)
